I think the guys are jealous.
Anyway.
Any tips on what builds to bring? I've never been to FoW, and am not sure if a reg. minion master would work there or if something else would be better.

Yes, it is true that Girl Power Hours sounds really cool and exciting...but....
Restricting game-play for a specific gender (male/female) is obviously leaning towards sexism. Instead of promoting a game where everyone helps each other despite age, gender, or nationality, etc -- this events is definitely not a fine example of "Random Act of Kindness", but instead targeted to females only.
This is just my opinion, but if you girls want to show TRUE GIRL POWER and leadership, set up an event where you can help everyone on Guild Wars. You will gain the title and respect of helping all the girls in guild wars, as well as those in need (male or female).
Please Note: Of course this is not my event. I am not trying to flame as this is just one's opinion and anyone can do anything they want to have their way of fun

In FoW the Shadow army has its corpses eaten up by the many Necromancer Shadow beasts that are there, so MM would not be a great choice there, and the Skeletal army, which amounts to about 1/4 of the enemies you will fight for just Forgemaster quest will not leave any corpses. Most Necromancers choose to use Spiteful Spirit in small groups, or they would go any other random builds they like Blood is Power can be very team friendly if you have low enough health to combat 33% health sacrifice, and Spoil Victor is nice damage as well. Depends how evil you are feeling

Hey, it's just a gettogether, something fun! Would you say the mesmer event was sexist because it was for mesmers? Everyone usually plays mixed in the game, so it might be fun just to play with fellow girls sometime. You don't have to get worked up about it or something, it's not a declaration of unequality!
I might be in, if my ranger is usefull and I'm able to be online long on sunday ^^! I've never been to the FOW as well, so some tips could be great ^^! I'll check some guides..

Minon Masters tend to get frustrated in FOW, there are a lot of undead and shadow beasts that don't leave corpses, and the careful pace of mob handling makes maintaining your army difficult.
For necromancers, SS or BiP builds are useful. Elementalist nuking is always welcome. Stance tanking used to be useful for warriors, but with the aggro changes, wars may as well bring a high DPS build. Mesmer shutdown/interrupt builds are useful, especially if they go rezmer and bring Rebirth. Rangers are useful for pulling and dishing out high damage to foes with Barrage (and going /Mo and bringing Judge's Insight is good for the undead). Monks, of course, preferably one prot and one heal, both bringing hex removal (there's a lot of SS being cast by the shadow beasts.) Ritualists are good either running spirit spammers or channel nuking (the newly buffed Splinter Weapon is lovely to put on the melee chars) Assasins running the BoA build are useful for ganking priority soft targets. Dervishes running Av of Balth are great for the extra holy damage vs Undead and the AoE scythe damage, and I really like having a ToF/GftE/AoF paragon along.
So really, any profession will work.

Most Rangers are forced to go Barrage with Savage Shot + Distracting Shot, with Favourable Winds and some forms of defence with a Res Signet, but that is usually imposed on players by other players, and you should feel free to try other Ranger builds. Savage Shot + Distracting Shot are excellent in FoW simply because there are many Casters and Warriors using Healing Signet, and elites like Burning Arrow, Prepared Shot, Melandru's Shot are very nice, and Incendiary Arrows can be useful at times if you have it.
Pets can also be fun to use, using any of the elites from Beastmastery.
Glass Arrows is also nice extra damage.

Mmm... I recently discovered all of my characters can get to ToA. What has the most call? I have a war, ele, necro, ranger, derv, para, and sin. My warrior can run just about anything... My ele can be a generic nuker, but I don't have Searing Flames. My necro can be a SS or a battery (I love playing battery, but I suicide accidentally too much) My ranger can play just about anything, I think, I could even go beastmaster if you want, but my pet is level 7. My Derv has all the avatars and Reaper's Sweep... but from what I recall there's quite a bit of enchantment removal in FoW. My paragon is pretty useless, I think the only elite I have is RaO -.-* I can sort of run a sin, but if I put in BoA that means I have to take out either Rebirth or Feigned Neutrality. I don't think I'll be able to get through NF easily so capping Shadow Prison is out of the question.
Which do you think would be most useful? I don't really like being a burden on the team. Also wondering. How long will this take?

Thanks for the tips.
I have a nice (imo) SS/degen build for my necro, a nice Searing Flames build for my ele, and my warrior is, well, iffy. I don't have any NF skills for her yet, though she is well equipped otherwise. My reflexes aren't so good, so my ranger isn't likely if you want interrupts, and I'm very rusty on monking. Still, I'm sure all of us can work something out.

Thanks for a great time today ladies. Took a few pictures of my team in the Forge - we managed to complete the Forgemaster series of quests, but these pics were taken while we had a short break midway. Hope to see you again next week.

Nice pictures, and it's great to see you have a Mesmer in there, as well as a Paragon. An all star cast tbh. Maybe you could take me along some time, show me how its done; i'm a guy, but is that really a problem ?

Finally had a chance to participate in this event. I hope someone on the team took screenshots (I always forget to do so). Anyway, we managed to do:
Rastigan
Army of Darkness
Restore the Temple (Forgemaster quest)
Wailing Lord
Our team included:
1 Elementalist
2 Dervish
1 Mesmer
2 Rangers
2 Monks
(wot? no wammo???)
Had it not been so late, we would have completed more.
Had a great time ladies, and looking forward to future events
